Halifax extends One Card introductory offer

Halifax has announced it is to extend the introductory offer on purchases and balance transfers (subject to a balance transfer fee) on its market leading One Card to 12 months.
The card will feature a typical APR of just 12.9% and will offer 0% on purchases and balance transfers for 12 months (balance transfers subject to a fee of up to 2%) the longest period for both available in the UK.
Commenting on the card, Ian Corfield, head of Halifax Card Services, said: 'The One Card remains a market leading product. No other card combines such a low APR with such a strong introductory offer.'
'Balance transfer fees are now a common feature in the credit card market and help cover some of the costs associated with transfering a balance from another card.'

The market leading One Card with extended introductory offer will be available from Monday 4th July 2005 in all Halifax branches as well as via www.halifax.co.uk or by calling 08457 28 38 48.
All lending decisions are based on individual circumstances, the APR offered on the One Card is determined by the details customers supply, along with an independent verification of credit repayment history. This form of personal pricing ensures customers receive a credit limit and rate that reflects their individual finances.
